I've heard a lot about the belief that our current money system will come to an end and that's where the "Mark of the Beast" comes in. Some say it won't be an actual mark--a computer chip perhaps. It doesn't sound like that's what you're referring to here. If we don't accept this mark, we won't have the ability to buy or sell.

The link of the mark with economic transactions is apparent from Revelation.

Only, it is NOT about the identifier, the mark, but about the allegiance to the system and the force operating through that system behind the identifier (the mark) which will cause the allegiance be sealed with a mark, visible or invisible.

You can read in Ezekiel 8 how the allegiance of YHWH’s people to Him was sealed with an invisible mark on the forehead, implying the allegiance of the mind and soul.

So the mark of the beast may be more about pledging allegiance and being granted permission for economic transactions than an actual visible mark or chip implant.
The mark on the right hand implies the authorization to conduct business, act, and the mark in the forehead implies the surrender of the mind and soul to the underlying powers of the system to which the allegiance has been given.
It may be a metaphor ONLY.

The mark may also be linked with enforced vaccinations whereby an attempt will be made to modify human DNA. In that case those who won't comply are isolated from society.

The mark is made by one's belief in the system. One can, of necessity, use the system to make his way through. But the belief is what seals the mark.

Store up your treasures, your hopes and dreams, in heaven. Place your faith in the creator, not the created.

After all, faith is all we really have.
